The Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) was a private, Christian college in Quincy, Massachusetts. Established as a holiness college in Saratoga Springs, New York, in 1900, the college moved to Rhode Island for several years. With its expansion to a four-year curriculum, it relocated to Wollaston Park in Quincy in 1919. It expanded to additional sites in Quincy and, in the late 20th century, to satellite sites across the state. Its academic programs were primarily undergraduate, with some professional graduate education offered.
The numbers tell a mixed story here: the relatively affordable net price of $17,733/year and modest median debt of $19,500 are genuine positives, but a 35% graduation rate and 62% freshman retention rate suggest many students either struggle to finish or find a better fit elsewhere. Median earnings of $46,100 a decade out are decent but not exceptional, so you'd want to be confident this school's faith-based community and small campus feel (just 378 undergrads) are the right match before enrolling. Worth considering if you're drawn to the Nazarene mission and tight-knit environment, but have a honest conversation about what support structures exist to help you actually reach graduation.
